EDUCATION and COMMUNITY OUTREACH: Our focus has been directed towards four key cities in China: Yulin City, Mudanjiang City, Dandong City, and Guangzhou. We continued and expanded the highly acclaimed program, "Upfront and Close with Dogs and Cats Experience." This program has proven to be both popular and successful. This initiative was strategically implemented in collaboration with numerous prominent shopping centers across these cities. Taking advantage of the post-COVID high vacancy rates, we opened a 2nd 'Dog and Cat, play and education center" in Yulin city where the infamous annual dog meat festival is held. These events have significantly broadened our outreach, allowing us to connect with a larger audience, including those who may have never had the opportunity to interact with dogs and cats before. The positive response from these initiatives underscores our commitment to fostering community engagement and education, even in challenging times. - Estimated allocation: 55% of $351,159 ($193,119 ) 1- annual venue rentals ($128,000) 2- remodeling the new center ($44,000) 3- marketing and advertising ($7,000) 3- operations ($11,500) 4 - teaching materials and event gifts ($2,619)
Based on a warning from the U.S. State Department in 2023 that U.S. citizens should avoid traveling to China, Duo Duo's Executive Director did not make a business trip directly to China. Instead, the first post-Covid meeting with the China team was held in the Philippines. In the meeting, we discussed project status and strategic planning for our 2024 major campaigns in China. $4,694 (0.0126% of $ 351,159)
