Dyslexia Center of Austin provides comprehensive, reduced-rate educational evaluations for dyslexia and other learning differences. An educational evaluation can determine the presence of specific learning disabilities that may be contributing to a challenging educational experience. The process involves gathering information from various sources and formal testing methods. The data collected is used to gain a comprehensive understanding of a student's strengths and weaknesses to make an accurate diagnosis, if appropriate. The formal report includes recommendations and strategies to help a student overcome challenges and achieve goals, as well as any testing and/or classroom accommodations that should be considered. Dyslexia of Center of Austin's educational evaluations meets the criteria for application to the college board for accommodations on standardized college admissions tests (SAT, ACT, etc.) as well as the criteria for universities and colleges needing documentation for the provision of an accommodations plan.
