Systems building - the Council seeks to develop a sustainable Early Childhood system, which includes: (1) providing training to local care providers; (2) raising community awareness of Early Childhood issues; (3) collaborating with local stakeholders.
The maternal, infant, and Early Childhood home visiting program gives pregnant women and families, particularly those considered at-risk, necessary resources and skills to raise children who are physically, socially, and emotionally healthy and ready to learn.
Colorado shines - the Council supports child care programs in accessing and utilizing the resources available through the Colorado shines rating & improvement system.
With funding from the buell foundation, the Council provides professional development stipends to local care providers for continuing education, as well as mini-grants for purchasing supplies.
