Leadership and learning: during 2022, 2,100 receipients benefited. Community leadership and advocacy builds community capacity through leadership opportunities exclusively for East Harris County neighbors and change-minded people to address transformational opportunities in their community. We offer voter registration drives and provide instructional training on ballot machines, voter rights, and community engagement on election days to support gotv efforts. Our program offers an environmental justice summit and a nine-week training class to empower community members to voice their opinions at permit hearings and commissioner meetings regarding legislation affecting their daily lives and health. Health equity:during 2022, 480 receipients benefited. Our program is dedicated to building a happier and healthier community in East Harris County. Through collaboration with partners and stakeholders, we provide access, awareness, and education on community health and safety resources. Our services include: community health fairs mental health first aid training vaccine awareness power in the parks disaster preparedness training
Community impact and initiative: during 2022, 14,655 receipients benefited. Community engagement & Empowerment program is an initiative that develops and deepens relationships with individual families and organizations. The program was created in response to the lack of support and investment in East Harris County, through a series of ongoing initiatives and projects, neighbors are connected to life- enhancing services and programs. Healthy mother's healthy babies call center focused on awareness of available social services strong seniors to provide support and education for seniors application assistance to provide help with state- funded and social and health service applications digital equity to provide access to digital tools ehctx link (local integrated network of knowledge) to increase coordination, collaboration and communication among stakeholders in East Harris County
