Eastern Rhode Island Conservation District (ERICD) helps residents of Newport and Bristol counties conserve natural resources and foster farm viability by providing information and technical assistance. ERICD has provided financial and technical support to landowners in all nine towns and cities within its district. Additionally, ERICD has created full farm plans for interested landowners. ERICD is located in Tiverton, RI.

Program areas at Eastern Rhode Island Conservation District

Ericd is dedicated to helping the residents of newport and bristol counties with their natural resource concerns. Ericd has provided financial and technical support for landowners throughout the 9 towns and cities in its District. It has created full farm Conservation plans for landowners as required to have them under the farm, forest and open space act, under farm designation. It has helped implement best management practices on farmers land. Ericd also partnered on a multi-partner stormwater mitigation/water quality project in middletown, ri at a local wholesale mursery to help mitigate pollutant loading into the maidford river. It has created a farm education program in partnership with the portsmouth school department called portsmouth aginnovation farm. Additionally, ericd has conducted outreach throughout the year on best management practices to preserve natural resources.
