Program areas at VIBS
Established in 1976, Victims Information Bureau of Suffolk ("ecli-vibes") has been a pioneer in the domestic violence and the rape crisis movements. Ecli-vibes' mission is to assist the survivors of domestic violence, rape, and sexual assault, elder abuse, child abuse, human trafficking, and veterans who are experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder or military sexual traumas; to prevent the incidence of these crimes through education programs; and to raise community awareness of the need for justice and compassion for Victims. Because Ecli-Vibes envisions a community free of all forms of abuse, it advocates for societal changes that will eliminate or decrease domestic and sexual violence, elder abuse, and human trafficking.
