Program areas at Ecological Citizen's Project
The ecp is working to build community sovereignty, where land sovereignty, food sovereignty and energy sovereignty intersect. This means that communities control their land, food and energy, building circular, regenerative local economies that operate on principles of justice, equity and democratic governance. We train new farmers and place them on land in hudson valley communities to establish public food gardens as a launching pad to regenerate communities through increased food security, increased economic security and wealth through community-owned renewable energy, the promotion of land and nature access, and growing civic power. We also work to make climate action accessible to all.
