2020 accomplishments:e.c.f. Switched to archives space cataloging software and transferred all data from the previous collective access database. As is tied to the public-facing edgarcaycefoundation.org, created by omeka software for cultural heritage institutions. Users can search the current inventory by collection, item, or related individual. E.c.f. Staff are planning future digital exhibits using the omeka platform.the Edgar Cayce readings were fully processed as of december 2020. The archivist wrote and implemented a 2021 action plan, which includes finishing processing work on the a.r.e. And e.c.f. Collections by the end of 2021. Finding aids for 21 collections are now available online. In addition, 11 smaller collections remain to be processed. The archivist answered 84 research requests between april and december 2020.the northeast document conservation center cleaned, digitized, and returned hugh lynn Cayce's mysteries of the mind radio program, by wor new york, recorded on 2 lacquer discs dating from 1938. This audio was used in a youtube project for the foundation.e.c.f. Continued to expand its outreach activities. It released 12 videos on its youtube channel in 2020, highlighting a variety of archival materials from its collections. E.c.f. Made social media posts bi-weekly, continued to contribute articles to venture inward magazine, and participated in three a.r.e. Hq conferences and one webinar in 2020. The archivist participated in a finding aid to my soul, a storytelling event sponsored by the society of american archivists, in october 2020.e.c.f. Helped plan Virginia archives month as a member of the working group. A photograph of Edgar Cayce was included for the month of march in this year's archives month calendar, which was sold by the library of Virginia to support an emergency fund for archivists in financial need. The archivist helped to revise the guidelines for graduate archival education as a committee member for the society of american archivists.e.c.f. 's solidified written policies and procedures, including researcher agreements and guidelines for use of its collections, are now online at edgarcaycefoundation.org. The archive follows the society of american archivist's professional guidelines and code of ethics. One of the main goals of the archives project is to keep in alignment with how the founders, Edgar evans Cayce, hugh lynn Cayce, and gladys davis, set up the Foundation. The above mentioned first steps will set the archive up for the next phase of processing the various collections within the archive and preparing materials digitally for a content management system. The overall project goal is to have the physical collection in complete collaboration with the digital aspect of the collection. The various phases that will bring this project to completion may take years and we are dedicated to preserving the history of the Edgar Cayce work in the best way possible.
