Program areas at EduKenya

Mawewa and Chelezo Schools: In 2023 330 students were educated in our schools ranging from Pre-School through Grade 12. Students participated in music and drama festivals went on field trips and continued to be challenged academically in the classroom while being encouraged emotionally and spiritually. The school received the award for Nairobi County Most Improved Private School for National Exams in 2023. The year culminated with the graduation of the Seniors eduKenya's fifth graduating class.
Community Sustainability Program: The eduKenya families continued to face economic challenges in 2023 as the Kenyan economy was still recovering from the impacts of the global pandemic a season of drought and the continued high inflation rates. eduKenya continued its focus on training the community members and equipping them with practical skills; in particular textile development training. This training leads to both self-employment as well as employment by the organization. This helps to provide skills and income to families which in turn provides stability to the students' lives and the community as a whole. In 2023 the textile products that were focused on were uniforms pencil pouches and pad pouches.
