Program areas at Effingham County Humane Society
We shelter 50-60 cats and dogs until they can be adopted. We also place 20 -30 in foster homes. All are vetted, micro-chipped, neutered/spayed and kennels and cat cages are cleaned daily.
Visit nursing homes and schools with pets to educate and cheer up individuals and students. Also service organizations and parades. Transport public's pets to neuter/spay clinics.
20-25 pets are adopted monthly after application reviewed and references checked to insure quality homes. Facebook, website, newsletters, newspaper ads used to promote.
