Program areas at Eg Justice
Program Accomplishments 2023: EG Justice focused on combatting kleptocracy, specifically, tracing the assets of kleptocrats, working to have targeted sanctions imposed, and working to have stolen assets repatriated. EG Justice produced a brief with foreign policy recommendations for global policymakers, including the US Administration. EG Justice convened a week-long training and networking gathering for twenty youth activists and human rights defenders arbitrarily arrested and imprisoned, including Anacleto Micha, Luis Nzo, Emilio Ngong, Salvador Bibang, Pablo Angue, and Claudio Edjo. EG Justice continued to support the work of youth groups Versos Libres and Codigo GE Sin Tapujos. Codio GE, with the support of EG Justice, produced 10 videos to raise awareness of ongoing corruption crimes and human rights violations by government officials.
