Educational seminars and conferences offer training and networking opportunities to small businesses. El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce participated in several seminars and conferences: in the eta center about 4,500 persons were trained. Start-up business assistance was provided to 981 persons. Expanding business services were provided to 1,136 existing, growing businesses. 21,486 jobs were created and retained by projects assisted. Biz tech program - this program is part of the business development program and assists small business in learning about e-commerce opportunities and products.
Women's business border center (wbbc) provides counseling, technical assistance and training to women in business and to women who are starting a business. The wbbc provided counseling to 2,126 people in which, approximately 57% were women.
