Program areas at Miracle League of El Paso

The league is the only year-round program for children and individuals with disabilities in the community, enabling participants to play in a league setting like able-bodied peers. Providing programming for baseball and tee ball is our primary focus. The specially designed field was built for this program. We invite other special needs organizations to participate in the league play. those include two church special needs ministries, a couple of Special Olympic delegations within the community, and the State Supported Living Center athletes.
Summer programs for children and individuals with disabilities are inclusive, requiring more volunteers, planning, and scheduling. These programs also provide services for clients at State Supported Living Centers.
Provide a community service component to the program which includes volunteers from university and community college health-related programs and organizations assisting the program participants. Included in the volunteer service are high school students, business service organizations and community leaders.
Hosting an event that provides a pathway to self-confidence and development of self-esteem yearly, has proven over and over again how children and individuals with disabilities deserve the chance to show how alike they are to their able-bodied peers. Providing a venue where participants can display their talent, humor, vulnerabilities, and rewarded for stepping outside of their comfort zone is the goal we desire to reach each time. We provide the opportunity for our participants demonstrate their independence and willingness to climb above the expected.
