Program areas at Eleazar Wheelock Society
Living Learning Community The Wheelock Society operates the Wheelock House, a 24-resident living learning community, whose members are dedicated to investigating and pursuing the Good Life, integrating faith, reason, vocation, and service. We offer numerous opportunities for intellectual discussion, personal relationship development, and hospitality towards the broader Dartmouth College community. This program is funded by rents from the eight apartments for residential members of the living learning community as well as alumni donations.
Annual Conference Our annual conference, the Wheelock Weekend, hosts dozens of Dartmouth alumni and undergraduates for two days of events and conversations around the integration of faith, reason, vocation, and service. In addition to offering great content, the relationships formed often lead to mentorships, internships, and other kinds of opportunities between the alumni and students in attendance. This program is funded by alumni donations.
Apologia and Vox Veritatis Support We provide supplementary funding to and advise student organizations at Dartmouth, including the undergraduate journal of Christian thought, The Dartmouth Apologia, and the Colleges Veritas Forum and Thomistic Institute affiliate, Vox Veritatis. Our support helps them reach more students and alumni with engaging, high-quality intellectual content. This program is funded by alumni donations.
