Program areas at Elevate Jacksonville

Elevate Jacksonville continues to be successful as evidenced by student retention and excitement. We are seeing improvements in the areas of classroom discipline, school attendance and number of students desiring to be mentored. To date, our teacher-mentors have taught over 1600 students, and we have an alumni cohort of 50. Principals in each of our four duval county schools have expressed their desire to add more students due to the success of our program and the need within our schools. Our accredited classes are now being taught to students from 7th-12th grades at jean ribault high school, jean ribault middle school, westside high school and westside middle school. It is true that "no one gets there alone" so our students know, "once in Elevate, always in Elevate."
No one else is doing this work in Jacksonville. Elevate Jacksonville uniquely positions our teacher/mentors to build relationships with students in various contexts. Core curriculum classes teach knowledge, Elevate classes teach wisdom. Our accredited elective course ("Elevate") teaches our 13 character qualities & life skills. Our students also spend time with the same teacher/mentors on weekends, after-school, and during our summer camps. Hence, by engaging our students all day, every day, and providing mentoring (one-on-one and small group), as well as large group activities, we enter their world in a trusting, life-changing approach.
