Description
The Elkin Valley Trails Association's mission is to increase the quality of life in the Elkin Valley by building and promoting a network of trails and greenways that provide educational opportunities for all age groups, while preserving the area's history. They were gifted 300 acres in Wilkes County by Piedmont Land Conservancy to be used for trail construction. The association partnered with Explore Elkin/Town of Elkin for NC Trail Days in June 2022 and provided guided trail hikes on the MST segment, Ston. The association is located in Elkin, NC.

We continue to maintain existing Trails & create new multi use Trails , bonanza trail with new culvert installed along dutchman creek , friendship trail 50 foot bridge was constructed in partnership with surry co , klondike dam mural at grassy creek was completed by eva crawford , trail days festival was held in june 2023 and was a great success , plans for ongoing projects such as bridge of dreams, Elkin creek headwaters preserve, as well as other multi use Trails
