Program areas at Emergent Health Partners
The Emergent Health Partners (ehp) center for ems education, formerly known as huron valley ambulance (hva) center for ems education. Since 1981, the ehp center for ems has been educating students in the art and science of pre-hospital emergency care. The ehp center for ems education is nationally accredited by the commission on accreditation of allied Health education. There are three campus locations. The main campus is located at 1200 state circle ann arbor. The eastern campus is located at 1270 goldsmith road plymouth. The western campus is located at 429 ingham street jackson. The Emergent Health Partners center for ems education offers all ems licensure levels available through the state of Michigan, medical first responder (mfr), emergency medical technician - basic (emt-b), emergency medical technician - intermediate (emt-i), emergency medical technician - paramedic (emt-p), anotomy and psyicology, and ems instructor coordinator (ic). It also offers many of the emergency medical certification courses available for the general public as well as pre-hospital and hospital healthcare providers. Such courses include, the american heart association heartsaver cpr, heartsaver first aid, heartsaver pediatric first aid, bls for healthcare providers, advanced cardiac life support, pediatric advanced life support as well as the pre-hospital trauma life support course. The Emergent Health Partners center for ems education is one of only three testing facilities authorized by the state of Michigan and overseen by the national registry for practical examinations at the advanced ems (emtintermediate and emt-paramedic) level.
Emergent Health Partners administers a regional emergency medical transportation system encompassing four affiliated ambulance providers to improve patients' quality of medical care and quality of life. Emergent provides transportation services to residents in southeast, southwest and south central Michigan communities. By providing a rescue service for the relief of distressed persons who need emergency ambulance transportation, Emergent lessens the burden of government, who would otherwise have to provide such services.
