Program areas at Empower Sports Corporation
2023 was another exceptional year of growth for Empower Sports, reaching more than 400 athletes with disabilities and amassing over 1,200 program registrations. Our inclusive Sports programs were offered in 5 counties in northeast Ohio, featuring basketball, softball, soccer, flag football, golf, pickleball, and exercise programs. Our teams were made up of highly diverse athletes representing several different intellectual, hearing, visual, and gross motor disabilities all experiencing the joy of Sports together. Programs helped forge new friendships, and proved to be a pivotal source of exercise for our athletes. We were also grateful to host over 1,400 volunteers helping us fulfill our mission of fostering new friendships and more inclusive communities through Sports and exercise. All programs were offered at nominal, optional fees thanks to the generous support of local foundations, businesses and philanthropic leaders in our community.
