Empowerment Center for Children Youth and Families (ECCYF) brings LAUNCH resource areas to economically disadvantaged Norfolk neighborhoods. ECCYF sponsors out of school programs, focusing on reading and social / behavioral skills, for an average of 20 students after school during the 2022-23 school year, as well as a STEM focused Saturday Academy with an average of 20 students. ECCYF partnered with the Virginia Department of Health to promote COVID19 prevention and preparedness monthly during 2022-23 and hosted a health-focused mini-fair in July 2022, sharing wellness and fitness tips.
