Program areas at Energy Cents Coalition

Conservation improvement program (cip)-xcel Energy natural gas conservation and electric Energy efficiency services provided to eligible xcel Energy homeowners and renters in one-to-four-unit dwellings. Services include Energy audits, weatherization, and appliance replacement (including refrigerators, window air-conditioners, freezers, furnaces and water heaters).
Xcel Energy gas affordability program (gap) and power on programbill payment assistance for eligible xcel Energy natural gas and electric customers who have received Energy assistance. Limits the percentage of household income that customers have to devote to natural gas bills to no more than 3% of household income and 3% for electric bills. Both programs include arrearage forgiveness component (same as cpe described above).
Conservation improvement program-centerpoint energyconservation services provided to eligible tenants and landlords, including Energy audits, weatherization and replacement of furnaces and water heaters. Landlords pay one-half of the improvement costs and tenants receive the benefit of lower utility bills.
