Special events held throughout the year including hometown holidays, which is eva's holiday season community event. It continues to be very well received, yet has minimal cost. As with other eva programs, there is a strong volunteer group that organizes this event, helping to ensure it remains successful, while keeping costs low. Another annual event is the shaker 7 race, a 7 mile route around lake mascoma and through the downtown business district.

Economic development: eva organizes several events for business people to get together for networking, education, and brainstorming ideas to promote local businesses. In 2016, eva continued our monthly business coffee sessions, after hours events, and worked on updating the business directory. Most of these activities occur with little or no cost due to the support of volunteers and local businesses that host these activites.
