Community health and wellness: dia del nino wellness and prevention day, free of charge; free health fair offering screenings, affordable blood draws, mammograms, flu shots; ongoing covid-19 awareness with spanish language ads.
Civic engagement: included voter awareness for midterm elections, education on ranked choice voting in radio, tv, and informational flyers through the mail. The organization helped with spanish translations for taxes in partnership with aarp at no charge.
Culture: hispanic heritage month held four events; annual latino health fair with free and affordable blood draws; free cultural night at the museum; free latin dances and culture in fairbanks, ak; and fiesta fundraiser. Free annual calendar.overall, the organization served approximately 7,000 people through its various programs.
Education: in partnership with university of Alaska fairbanks, Enlaces is in charge of a scholarship grant of $1500; attended meetings when local school superintendent announced a plan to permanently close schools in the anchorage area.
