Residential services - ep!Epc!c provides a full range of residential options for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are part of the Illinois department of human services community integrated living arrangement (cila) program. During the year ep!Epc!c served 20 people living in 2 apartment settings, 78 living in host family arrangements, and 74 living in 15 specialized group homes. Each resident has an individualized service plan that outlines the support and services they need in order to increase their self-sufficiency. Particular emphasis is placed on developing daily living, community integration, and economic self-sufficiency skills.
Employment services - the rate of employment for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities is well below the rate for the overall population. Ep!Epc!c aims to correct that imbalance by helping people find and maintain jobs. After a person completes a suite of pre-employment workshops, ep!Epc!c works with them to find community employment in a role they are interested in. Ep!Epc!c provides job coaching to the individual and their employer so that they can maintain their position and advance if they would like to. Over 28 people found community employment due to ep!c's services this year, and an additional 134 people earned paychecks by working at ep!Epc!c based jobs.
Educational services - ep!Epc!c provides educational services for individuals with disabilities to learn and advance their daily living skills such as communication, financial, socialization, academic, and vocational skills. All individuals have access to a technology center that provides adaptive technology for those who need it and a computer learning lab. An art studio allows people to demonstrate their creativity as they create art that they can sell. Unique programming is provided to senior citizens that is operated much like one would find in any senior citizen center. Over 300 people attended ep!c's educational services programs.
