Program areas at Equality Utah Foundation
The organization works to eliminate prejudice and discrimination and to defend human and civil rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (lgbt) utahns. During 2022, the organization educated the Utah community by providing diversity and inclusion training for companies, raised awareness of Equality issues through speaking engagements and rallies, and developed robust content for its website and other social media. In addition, the organization awarded 32 full-tuition scholarships to lgbtq students enrolled at colleges and universities throughout the state of Utah. The organization also began training with the moral courage project to mentor future leaders in the lgbtq community and partnered with edc Utah and the governor's office of multiculturalism to facilitate panel discussions on "diversity & belonging" throughout Utah.
