In 2023, ES Veterans supported dozens of military and veteran related causes and charities through 38 grants totalling $338,100 and volunteer work which included: Supporting the purchase and laying of approximately $10,500 wreaths across 3 states.Supported 12 Eversource employees in distinct awareness/fundraising events.Headline supporter for the following: 100th anniversary of the CTANG. Marine Corps Ball. USO NE Boston Marathon and care package assembly project at the USS Constitution. Disabled American Veterans 5K in Boston. CVLC annual saluting service.Bought 320 $20 gift cards to support military members to buy Thanksgiving turkeys.Partnered with PGA HOPE CT/NE/NY for the second annual PGA HOPE Golf Tournament.Continued parternship with the Travis Mills Foundation - $35,000.Supported Holiday Card for our Military Challenge in the tri-state area.Spearheaded and coordinated Tri-State veterans Recognition and Stand Down event.
ES Veterans has a campaign to raise awareness around the impacts of PTSD and veteran suicide. We started this program by discussing the relationship of veteran suicides and guns and providing gun locks with information around safe gun storage.We continued our work around raising awareness of PTSD in the military and veteran community suppling more than 350 gun locks and informational pamphlets to followers in the community.
