Program areas at Essex Amateur Hockey Association

Essex Amateur Hockey Association provides 275 area youths with recreational Hockey and instruction with an emphasis on education, personal development, teamwork and sportsmanship. The house program services 107 youths at the Essex skating facility. The "newbees" entry-level program (ages 4-7) focuses on the skating and fundamental Hockey skills in a fun and supportive environment. The "house" program (ages 8-14) services youth with some skating or Hockey experience seeking additional instruction in an recreational setting.the travel program caters to 168 youths and features a pre-season "midget" program (ages 15-18), pre-season training camp, season-long weekend play, as well as regional and state tournament play.
