Program areas at Etc School of Musical Arts
The all-american Show Choir is Etc's high School ensemble made up of more than 60 singer-dancers and instrumentalists. The group learns and perfects a complete Show Choir set and performs it at venues throughout Ohio, including numerous community shows, festivals and competitions. The group has won a grand championship and numerous caption awards.
Rouge is an ensemble of grades 8 through 12 that provides a Show Choir experience for girls only. Due to increased demand for performance opportunities among high School students, especially among high School girls, Etc formed the group to meet the needs of young ladies who did not qualify for the limited number of performance spaces available in the All American group. In its inaugural year, rouge captured a class championship award in its very first competition.
The main street singers is Etc's middle School ensemble, which mastered an advanced Show choirs set and performs at numerous community shows and competitions. The group has won multiple grand champion awards and caption awards for its performances.
Other revenue and expenses come from a fall and spring gala Show, fundraising events, scholarships and from new generation which is Etc's ensemble for elementary boys and girls who want to get their taste of Show Choir experience. The group learns a beginner Show Choir set and performs at several community events and festivals.
