Everett

Everett's ensemble of artists created, performed and educated through the year in low-income communities across Rhode Island and beyond. This included teaching courses in the performing arts to over 100 young people at Everett School where 90% of students are low-income and attend free of charge, touring their original dance/theater production Bliss Body with Everett Company and running Open Stage events at Everett Stage where community members gather to share and celebrate their artistic talents. Additionally, Everett artists conducted arts residencies with a social/emotional wellbeing focus at the Massachusetts Department of Youth Services for justice involved young people. Through this programming, Everett realizes its belief that the arts transform lives across cultures, generations and economic backgrounds and create a more just, equitable and joyous future.
