Program areas at Exodus Ministries

Residential Program: We provide a rent-free, fully furnished apartment for our formerly incarcerated mothers and their children along with a year-long program which is intensive and comprehensive. Program includes Life Skill classes, e.g., parenting, budgeting, job training; a weekly faith-based recovery program; spiritual support through a weekly bible study, church service and mentoring. These programs are administered by the many volunteers who are eager to help our women become engaged healthy mothers by learning new skills and coping mechanisms. To further this effort, in addition, we provide weekly counseling by a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Children's Program: Each of the school-age children in our program has weekly counseling with a Licensed Professional Counselor to help them deal with the chaos, dysfunction and anger they experience due to the ramifications of their mother's incarceration and choices which led her there. Our dedicated counselers and volunteers and a staff member provide activities and loving care while their mothers are in their daily evening life skill classes. Diligent effort is made to pair the children with a mentor to model Godly behavior, love and compassion. Each child has a birthday celebration during their birthday month. Our children enjoy enrichment activities through summer camps and other off premise events like sporting events, amusement parks, and other healthy activities.
