Program areas at FairVote Minnesota Foundation
Education: FairVote Minnesota hosted or tabled at several community and other field events educating voters and elected officials about RCV, including the Minnehaha Art Fair, the League of Minnesota Cities Annual Conference, the Twin Cities Pride Festival, Open Streets East Lake, Bloomington Pride, St. Cloud Pride, League of Women Voters meetings, the Association of Minnesota Counties Conference, and the Minnesota State Fair. FairVote MN's Director of Communications and Public Affairs, Erin Zamoff, gave a TED Talk on RCV at TEDx Edina, and Executive Director Jeanne Massey was invited to present at the National Association of Nonpartisan Reformers (NANR) Summit in San Diego.
Fundraising: We organized several online fundraising campaigns to support our work, and hosted three key events focused on strengthening and protecting our democracy, including a summer Rank Your Wine event with legislative champions, Ranked Choice Voting: Pushing Back Extremism & Protecting Our Rights with special guests Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan Senate Minority Leader Melisa Lopez Franzen, and a year-end event featuring Congressman Dean Phillips, Congresswoman Mary Peltola, Senator-Elect Kelly Morrison, and Representative Cedrick Frazier.
