Faith Organizing alliance(foa) for year 2023 focused on 2 major issues;clean climate & clean energy and voter registration(vr).upon receipt of the climate and clean energy equity fund grant, foa has engaged in several clean energy initiatives, hosting webinars and virtual town hall meetings to raise awareness about climate and clean energy. Foa's engagement is not limited to a specific area, as demonstrated by our partnership and involvement in the webinar on equitable and safe deployment of electric vehicles and charging infrastructure.energy foundation west regional convening: foa actively participated in the two-day energy foundation west regional convening sessions in november 2023.monthly virtual town hall meetings: in december 2023, foa began hosting monthly virtual town hall meetings on climate and clean energy.advocacy efforts: Faith Organizing Alliance (foa) actively participates in monthly coalition work.attends regular meetings with organizations such as the Nevada division of environmental protection and nv energy. These meetings focus on pollution reduction and the planning phase for competitive implementation grants. Foa also testified at the las vegas public utilities commission (pucn) general consumer session, advocating for low-moderate income (lmi) communities. In addition, foa provided written testimony for dockets #23-06007 and #23-06008 during the same session.stakeholder workshops: foa participated in the regional transportation plan and home energy & affordability workshop.additionally, foa in 2023 participated in voter registration programs. Foa, in collaboration with vote rev action fund, participated in a script writing pilot program designed to determine the effectiveness of using a pre-made script in voter registration efforts by our canvassers. The program covered 12 weeks and was a great success. We exceeded our goal by 284 voter registration forms.as is our custom in off-election cycles, foa conducted a general voter registration program lasting 7 weeks in the latter part of the year. Foa was also a co-contributor to the national voter registration day event at Nevada parole and probation. In total, foa registered 2,873 members of our community to vote.
