Falls Church Mclean Children's Center

The early childhood education program provides a high-quality early childhood education program with professionally trained teachers to prepare up to 80 children each year to be "ready to succeed" when they enter kindergarten. The Center provides all teachers with the necessary support and training to work with children and families from diverse backgrounds and abilities.

The food program provided approximately 45 children with the necessary food to meet their daily nutritional requirements. Provided were 2,885 breakfasts, 10,594 lunches, and 21,188 morning and afternoon snacks.

Six OF OUR CHILDREN HAVE DEVELOPMENTAL DELAYS. ALL OF THEM QUALIFY FOR ON-SITE AND CLASS BASED SPECIAL EDUCATION SERVICES THROUGH CHILD FIND. ONE CLASSROOM RECEIVED OBSERVATIONS AND CONSULTATIONS FROM A MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL. 27 CHILDREN RECEIVED ON-SITE VISION AND HEARING SCREENINGS. IN SEPTEMBER, 31 CHILDREN LEFT FOR KINDERGARTEN. 26 CHILDREN GRADUATED WITH KINDERGARTEN READINESS EXPECTATIONS. Five CHILDREN WITH BELOW EXPECTED LEVELS ARE RECEIVING SERVICES FOR AREAS OF NEED, OR FAMILIES WERE ADVISED TO APPLY FOR SERVICES AT CHILD FIND.
