Program areas at Family and Intercultural Resource Center
Food systems program. Provides options for free, fresh, and nutritious food to help families stretch their budgets and increase access to healthy options, and is a community-wide coalition to guide improvements for our community's food systems while reducing stigma around accessing services and promoting equitable access.
Financial empowerment program. Assisting historically resilient populations with basic needs including food, housing, medical, utility, and clothing assistance and other needed referrals. Case management services include strength-based Family goal setting to help address budget gaps and achieve overall goals.
Access to care program. Free, in-person or virtual application assistance for a variety of programs including medicaid, chp+, snap, charitable care, and connect for health Colorado. Additionally, health navigators educate clients on how best to utilize their benefits while connecting clients to care providers. Specialized mental health navigation to connect individuals to multiple resources and providers including vouchers for services. Peer support programming for latina/hispani women going through challenging times promoting connection, resilience, and support.
