Family Assistance for Renaissance Men

FARM offered four 10-week training programs where participants worked with mentors, social workers, counselors, ministers, and other professionals to improve family dynamics and help these young men reunite and build quality relationships with their children. Participants also learned valuable work skills in the trades and 90 of those completing the program found meaningful employment. FARMs legal assistance program included expanding our partnering with local judges, assisting in clearing of warrants of participating fathers, re-establishing child support payments and the payment of outstanding traffic tickets in order to re-establish driving privileges. The roster of mentors was increased to approximately 15, partially through recruitment of former mentees.
