Family Promise of Hendricks County

Provides emergency housing through its almost home shelter offering temporary housing and essential services, including food, case management, and referrals to additional resources. Supports families in securing permanent housing and provides case management and stability services for up to two years to ensure long-term success. This includes helping families transition into homes, offering financial planning assistance, and connecting them with community resources. To prevent homelessness, Family Promise provides rent and utility assitance and eviction intervention. This includes coordinating with landlords, providing emergency funding, and developing sustainable living plans with clients to prevent future homelessness. Family Promise maintaines a resource center that serves as a hub where those experiencing homelessness and poverty can access affordable housing, child care, transportation, employment assistance, and life skills training.
