Program areas at Family Resource Network
Respite care: the respite care program is designed to assist families with continuous caretaking needs of a loved one who has an intellectual or developmental disability by providing a temporary break from their 24/7 caregiving responsibilities through respite care. Trained workers offer families a break while knowing their loved one is well cared for.
Individual supports: is supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving and/or maintaining increased independence, productivity, enhanced Family functioning, and inclusion in the community
Assistive technology: referral based program by the division of developmental disabilities ddd and the department of children and families dcf that assists families with understanding and completing the process for home and vehicle modifications. In 2023, 221 individuals were served in the assistive technology/home and vehicle modification program.
