Public education public education spreads awareness to the public about factory farming practices and what communities and individuals can do to lessen their support of those damaging systems and make a greater impact for a more humane and sustainable future.
Policy through the policy program, Farm Forward, Inc. works directly with companies, organizations, educational, city and state institutions to adjust their current food sourcing and providing systems to ease carbon footprints through supporting more plant-based and sustainable farming practices, and to support local and higher welfare animal harvesting systems. India the organization supports higher welfare, old-style or traditional, heritage and "country birds" poultry farming in india to reinforce the native systems against the influx of commercialized, industrial agriculture upon the rural farmers, as well as animal welfare initiatives and urgent care provided by those same farmers in india. Other the organization engages in and supports smaller scale initiatives that align with its mission but are not included under other major program direction. Examples include faith in food (which supports religious communities who want to contribute less to the Farm factory industry), poultry welfare research, and university food studies course curriculum support.
