The programs of Farm to School of Park County (F2SPC) are designed to address the interrelated nature of food education, food access, food affordability and the need to construct healthy dietary patterns for children within Park Countys severe economic constraints. Some specific achievements in FY23 include: cooperating with schools to deliver 48,300 Farm Fresh meals; teaching 966 students how to garden and cook from scratch; cultivating seven Community and School Learning Gardens including a new downtown Community Garden; growing over 3,000 lbs of vegetables for local school meals; and partnering with the community to serve 8,600 summer meals to hungry children while school was out for summer.
