Description
Farms for Food Equity strives to eradicate hunger in Maine by enabling access to nutritious farm fresh fruits, vegetables and proteins for all Mainers while promoting greater profit. To this end, we purchase overruns or off-grade produce and proteins from local farms at a discounted rate, reducing wastage while supporting agriculture. The procured items are donated to local food pantries and distributed among those facing food insecurity.
