Description
Fathers Club is a dad-led, grassroots effort that focuses on creating simple ways for dads to be intentional with their kids, other dads, and within their community. In 2022, hundreds of dads signed up to be a part of the club. The club has impacted thousands of students by having fathers present at school events and tens of thousands of fist bumps, high fives, and smiles were given at various events, encouraging positive influence around the community.

Program areas at Fathers Club

Student Program Events and Activities - during the year, the Father's Club held dozens of "Fist Bump for Food" (FB4F) events in a variety of schools throughout the member campuses. These include free food and fellowship during finals week, homecoming week or other special events. Dads show up to distribute the food and encourage the students with greetings and hugs. The student enrollment of the campuses that are part of the Father's Club is in excess of 50,000 and the majority of these students were either directly or indirectly involved.
Sponsorship and training re. issues affecting parents and their students, such as the threats associated with social media and electronic devices; mental health and wellness (including for students and adults), teen suicide awareness and prevention and general mental and emotional health issues that students and their parents face in today's society. Hundreds of dads, students and other supporters of the Father's Club were involved in this training and associated events.
Community, Parent, Teacher and Staff Events and Activities - during the year, the Father's Club sponsored several events that celebrated, recognized and thanked teachers and other school staff, student's parents and supporters. Events included sporting event tailgates and promotional events. It is estimated that a large majority of the 1,500 Father's Club members, many non-member parents, and hundreds of teachers and staff were involved, either directly or indirectly, in these events and activities.
