Program areas at Fayette County Amateur Radio Club
We make our vhf repeaters available for mobile storm spotters as part of the skywarn repeater network. Storm reports are received by a Radio operator at the national weather service building in peachtree city ga and relayed directly to nws personnel.
We provide use of our vhf and uhf repeaters for use by all licensed Radio amateurs.
We educate people about Amateur Radio technology and operation through our meetings and training events.
Membership dues result in membership. Members have voting rights in the meeting to determine the actions of the organization. Membership also allows the members to operate Radio equipment owned by the organization.
Donations provide revenue to allow the organization to obtain Radio equipment as needed and to repair or replace failed equipment.
