Program areas at Fayette County Family Resource Network
The Partnership for Success grant through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration focuses on decreasing youth cannabis use and increasing healthy alternative activities available to middle and high school students. Our projects this year included implementing the evidence-based curriculum Too Good for Drugs in underserved schools, a media campaign on THC levels and how they differ from levels in the 90s, and hosting monthly alternative activities including a theatre night and outdoor cooking event.
The Fayette Family Resource Network continued our monthly meetings, reaching over 77 organizations. We maintained our grant requirements through the Department of Human Services and continued providing fiscal agent services to the Fayette Prevention Coalition. Lastly, we continued our basic need fulfillment program, offering tangible assistance to the most vulnerable population in our county.
