The Fayetteville Chamber Music Festival held its annual spring event in the Moravian Room at the Country Place Hotel on the square in Fayetteville, Texas from May 13th through May 21st. The Festival musicians traveled from Hungary, Japan, Massachusetts, California, South Carolina, Colorado and Houston to participate in the event. Numerous open rehearsals were held in preparation for the six Festival concerts. A series of informative lectures preceded each of the Festival concerts. The musicians also participated in several concerts at various school campuses around Fayette County during their time in Fayetteville. Members of the community were able to interact with the musicians during receptions held after the festival concerts as well as when attending several house concerts.
The Fayetteville Chamber Music Festival also presented The Raymond Foundation Concert Series during 2016, with several Concert Series held throughout the year, each comprised of three concerts. These concerts were generously underwritten by Frank and Jean Raymond, to assist with travel expenses for the artists and the facility rental costs at multiple venues around Fayette County. A series of lectures and school presentations by the artists preceded the three concerts in each series.
