Swimming program . Gget your Feat weth - an innovative approach to learning to swim for children with autism ages 3 and up, featfs get your Feat wet swim program has shared this life saving skill with hundreds of children in our community since 2008.
Dreams in motion summer camp - summer camp for children ages 7-21 with autism. It is the only 8 week educational, therapeutic, and recreational summer camp for children and teens with autism in the Louisville metro area, surrounding counties, and southern Indiana.
All abilities bootcamp - teaching healthy movement and exercise to build self and social confidence, increase physical strength, and create self- empowerment through team activities. Created by maggie bannigan, occupational therapist. Through her career as an ot, maggie saw the lack of sport/fitness opportunities for those with special needs. As an exercise specialist, and coach, maggie enjoys bringing fitness opportunities to those of all ability levels as sports and teamwork. Best buddies - the high school years are a time of heightened social and emotional development and can be difficult even for those without asd. The best buddies Kentucky breaks through social barriers at an important time in a young persons life. Teens and young adults with autism from Feat of Louisville are matched with typical peers from trinity high school, uofl, and bellarmine university via a detailed application process. Through these relationships, one-on-one friendships between high school students and students with asd are formed. Martys orchid house- orchid house is an all-day monday through friday program, offering therapeutic, health-focused care for preschoolers ages 18 months to age 6 (or until kindergarten) with sensory processing disorders. In 2011, Feat spearheaded the autism friendly community, a group of more than 40 local providers who have the same mission, to help those with autism, but desire to see more happen in our community. Together, we are working to ensure there are no gaps in services, preparing our community for the influx of those with autism who are aging out of the system, and working to make Louisville and beyond autism friendly cities.
