In 2023, fair continued to provide insight, perspective, and clarity on the issues affected by unchecked mass migration and irresponsible Immigration policies.
State and local engagement - fair's state and local engagement (sle) department educated state and local lawmakers and their staff around the country on various critical Immigration issues. In particular, sle spent significant time drafting legislation, research, testimony, and educational materials about sanctuary cities, e-verify, driver's licenses/ids, and in-state tuition for illegal aliens. Staff involved grassroots activists by issuing action alerts, developing talking points, submitting testimony supporting or opposing proposed bills, and providing legislative and issue analysis. Sle provided critical assistance to other departments within fair and assisted in fair's overall educational mission by contributing a significant number of blogs and articles for public education, discussing legislation and current events impacting americans at the state and local levels. Finally, the sle department hosted a border school for 100 sheriffs and legislators from around the country. Insight was provided regarding the administration's border crisis and how states and localities can fight illegal Immigration at the state and local levels.

Fair's online supporters have access to real-time blogs, articles, radio hits, tv interviews, op-eds, facebook lives, educational videos, press releases, email newsletters, and activist alerts, which allow them to contact their representatives about critical Immigration issues. The media/communications department also responds to inquiries by reporters and producers, providing factual information and commentary on relevant topics. The department also produces original content distributed on fair's media and social media platforms. In recent years, the media/communications department has sent teams to the border and locations within the country uniquely affected by uncontrolled Immigration to gather information and video footage. The written and video reports that are produced provide members and the general public with information often unavailable through other sources.to engage our activists and leaders, sle organized three regional conferences. Sle also hosted 30 sheriffs from across the country to a conference addressing the border crisis and resulting fentanyl crisis. Sle provided critical assistance to other departments within fair, including reviewing op-eds and other materials for fair's media department as well as providing the advancement department with ideas for ad campaigns. Sle also assisted in fair's overall educational mission by contributing a significant number of blogs and articles for public education, discussing legislation and current events impacting americans at the state and local levels.
Government relations - federal government relations fair's government relations team advances fair's policy priorities and formulates and executes strategies to accomplish these priorities. It serves as a leading resource for members of congress while relentlessly advocating for the organization's priorities and opposing policies that undermine border security and Immigration enforcement. It stopped a senate supplemental funding package without border security that instead included billions to continue processing illegal aliens into the country. It prevented afghan green cards from being included in the national defense authorization act (ndaa), which was deemed a must-pass and laid the groundwork for the impeachment of dhs secretary alejandro mayorkas by coordinating extensively with the house homeland security committee investigation and congressional leadership.
