Other program services - in 2020, Ferre Institute, Inc. was asked to manage and coordinate a 4-year project to increase awareness and access to genetic services. The project is known as NYMAC (New York-Mid-Atlantic-Caribbean) Regional Genetics Network is funded by the Genetic Services Branch in the Health Resources and Services Administration's (HRSA) Maternal and Child Care Health Bureau (HRSA-20-046). The NYMAC region consists of ten juridictions, including eight states, the District of Columbia and two U.S. territories (Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Virginia, West Virginia and the U.S. Virgin Islands).
Other Programs - An educational website is available to provide information for professionals and the public about the causes, medical evaluation and treatment options for individuls and couples facing infertility.
Genetics Counseling Program - This program provides a community based approach that aims to make genetic risk assessment and genetic counseling to underserved communities.
