Figs of Wake County

Figs served 3642 indigent or medically indigent residents of Wake County, nc in calendar year 2023. The partners with whom Figs worked were urban ministries of Wake County; alliance medical ministry; dorcas ministries; unc school of nursing; neighborhealth; oak city cares; first presbyterian outreach; the catholic charities hispanic center and the urban ministries walk in clinic. Figs paid for prescriptions for the clients and patients of our partner organizations at a cost of 76,472, including 2,214 for new partners. Figs assisted the urban ministries obtain essential bulk generic medicine at a cost of 78,399. Figs paid almost 33,450 for medical equipment and supplies. At a cost of 15,926 Figs funded a program with the unc school of nursing to provide access to primary clinic care and prevention services for indigent residents of Wake County who had no other medical home. Additionally, Figs provided 565 over-the-counter portable health kits to the homeless and people transitioning from homelessness to stable housing.
