Program areas at Firearms Policy Coalition
Firearms Policy Coalition (FPC) undertakes efforts to create a world of maximal human liberty, defend constitutionally protected rights, protect and advance individual liberty (including natural rights, private property, and economic freedoms), and restore freedom. FPC's efforts are currently focused on the right to keep and bear arms and adjacent issues including freedom of speech, due process, unlawful searches and seizures, separation of powers, asset forfeitures, pri- vacy, encryption, and limited government. FPC works to achieve our strategic objectives through litigation, research, scholarly publications, amicus briefing, legislative and regulatory action, grassroots activism, education, outreach, and other programs. The
organization's FPC Law program (FPCLaw.org) is the nation's preeminent legal initiative focused on restoring the right to keep and bear arms throughout the United States. In 2023 alone, FPC Law engaged in litigating more than 50 public interest strategic lawsuits in state and federal courts across the country, additionally filing 10 new cases, 116 substantive briefs, 14 major amicus briefs, and 2 published law review articles, resulting in over 21 significant victories including major injunctions against state and federal regulations. FPC also provided grants to other non-profit organizations to support their efforts in promoting individual liberty.
