Program areas at 1st Choice Pregnancy Resource Center
Educational Mommy Program - The Mommy Program (and Mommy Store) is designed to provide training to mothers and fathers to-be. The Daddies Only program teaches fathers to help expecting mothers. Donated baby items are distributed through a Mommy Store at no charge to class participants. In addition, the Center has opened the Hope Satellite Center which is located in Hope, AR, approximately 40 miles from Texarkana and offers peer counseling, pregnancy tests, parenting classes, material needs support, and spiritual support. All services are free of charge. The Center is currently open one evening a week.
Adoption Referral Program - The Adoption Referral Program provide counseling and other assistance to unwed mothers choosing to make an adoption plan. The program provides assistance to these mothers, including temporary living expenses needed to see the pregnancy through the birth of the child.
Client Services (including peer counseling) - The Centers main program, also referred to as Peer Counseling, provides pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, support, education, and other services to women with unexpected pregnancies. Participants are never charged a fee for these services.
