First Legacy Community Credit Union, originally School Workers Federal Credit Union was founded February 14, 1941, in Charlotte, North Carolina, by a group of educators in the Charlotte School System. Mr. J.E. Grigsby served as the treasurer for the group. From our humble beginnings, we offered a simple savings and loan program. Today, we offer a broad range of financial services. Our mission is to create wealth in community by providing low interest rate products to low to moderate income individuals and families.
